For people with Parkinson’s disease, regular exercise not only improves physical function but also promotes mental well-being. LISS (Low-Intensity Steady State cardio) refers to long-duration, steady, low-intensity aerobic activities such as jogging, brisk walking, indoor cycling, rowing, or using an elliptical machine. Taiko drumming combines rhythm, body movement, and social interaction, making it a fun and effective group activity that is especially suitable for people with Parkinson’s.
For details on how to carry out these exercises and what to pay attention to, please refer to Parkinson’s New Knowledge, Issue 76.
Friendly reminder: Always consult your medical or rehabilitation team before starting any exercise, and adjust the intensity according to your condition, medication, and physical capacity.
