Parkinson’s disease is the second most common neurodegenerative disorder. Its prevalence rises with population aging, and it is projected that in 25 years, the number of patients aged over 50 will double. Parkinson’s disease remains incurable; only appropriate medication, rehabilitation therapy, and surgery can help patients maintain a good quality of life. The disease imposes lasting physical and emotional burdens on patients and caregivers, creating tremendous stress. With an aging population, the number of Parkinson’s patients in Hong Kong is expected to increase significantly, making it essential for the public to better understand and pay attention to this condition.

“Love & Care Tai Chi Exercise” is the Hong Kong Parkinson’s Foundation’s annual awareness and fundraising event, successfully held for 23 consecutive years. Each year, coaches from the Hong Kong Tai Chi Association lead over a thousand participants to perform a specially designed Tai Chi routine. This meaningful event aims to deepen public understanding of Parkinson’s disease and promote Tai Chi practice to improve overall health. All donations collected are dedicated to organizing activities for Parkinson’s patients.

This year, the Foundation is honored to invite Mr. Yuen Ching Fung as the Celebrity MC and Mr. Pang Kin San as the Love & Care Tai Chi Star.

With strong support from all sectors, we are greatly encouraged. Therefore, the Foundation plans to hold the 24th “Tai Chi” with details as follows:
